Moto G6 Play allegedly spotted in a new hands-on video
Lenovo-owned Motorola’s upcoming Moto G series smartphones – the Moto G6, G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play – have been popping up on the Internet quite a lot lately. As there have been a number of leaks and reports about these smartphones, there might be nothing left to the imagination by the time of official launch. We recently saw the alleged renders and complete specs of all three smartphones. Notably, Motorola has sent out invites for a press event on April 19th in Brazil, where we can expect these handsets to be unveiled. Now, ahead of the official unveiling, the alleged Moto G6 Play has emerged in a hands-on video on the Internet.
In the video, we can see the Moto G6 Play being operated, giving us the glimpse of the display and the rear panel. From the looks of it, the smartphone seems to be flaunting the taller 18:9 aspect ratio on its display. As the user turns the phone over, we can see the circular camera module with a single shooter and LED flash within. Sitting below the camera module is the new dimpled batwing logo of the brand, which is tipped to be housing the fingerprint scanner as well. Apart from this, the short video clip doesn’t reveal much about the smartphone, which can be seen sporting a transparent TPU case.
Coming to the spec sheet of the Moto G6 Play, the handset has been tipped to ship with a 5.7-inch IPS 18:9 display with a resolution of full HD+. In the performance department, the smartphone will reportedly be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC. The processor is expected to be accompanied by 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. As for the optics, the Moto G6 Play has been tipped to come with a 12-megapixel sensor on the rear panel and a 5-megapixel front shooter. A 4,000mAh battery completes the spec sheet of the smartphone.
As for the pricing, it has been reported in the past that Moto G6 Play might come with a price tag around Rs 13,000. We will bring you more accurate details once the brand launches the smartphones, which will likely be on April 19th.
