    Vivo Y71 launched in India with 5.99-inch 18:9 display and Face Unlock

    Vivo Y71 smartphone will soon be available to purchase from retail stores across India.

    Vivo has silently launched Vivo Y71 in India for Rs 10,999. The smartphone will soon be available to purchase from retail stores across India. 


    Vivo Y71 is said to be the first phone in the Y series smartphone to feature an 18:9 display. The company has not officially announced the smartphone, but a report from 91Mobiles has revealed that the smartphone is priced at Rs 10,999. 

    The Vivo Y71 bears a 5.99-inch HD+ display with a 720 x 1440 resolution supporting an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. The phone is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded using the micro SD card. There is no fingerprint sensor but there is face unlock in the phone instead.

    The smartphone features a rear camera of 13-megapixel with LED flash. On the front, you get a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling and facial recognition features. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and it is juiced up by a 3360mAh battery. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio, GLONASS, GPS, micro USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm.

    With this price, the smartphone competes with the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the Honor 9 Lite smartphones. The Redmi Note 5 is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB variant whereas the 4GB variant is priced at Rs 11.999. The Honor 9 Lite is priced at 10,999 for the 3GB variant and Rs 14,999 for the 4GB variant.
